How was everybody's Christmas

The weekend before Christmas, I celebrated with my mother's side of the family. It was fun to catch up with my cousin's, who I haven't seen in a while. It was the best few hours of my Christmas holiday.

On Christmas day I just celebrated with my parents. (my sister and her husband were already back in Colorado) We opened presents at 10am, I got a digital camera and a new dual player. Then my dad decided that he was sick and went to bed. He doesn't like to spend much time with anybody, I think that he is addicted to the Internet and of course alcohol. He was of course faking. He was supposed to make dinner, but my mom and I ended up doing it all by ourselves. Which turned out to be delicious!!

Christmas would've been a lot better if it was just me and my mom.

Closer to 2008

Well, today is December 23, my dad's birthday. Well, two more days till Christmas and a couple more weeks then we'll be in the New Year. When I was younger my aunt Marcia always said, "Time goes by so much faster as you get older." That's true, it doesn't seem like it's been almost six years since I graduated from high school. Could 2002 really be that long ago? Yesterday it snowed all day long. I'm thinking that we got a couple of inches. Oh yes, I'm hoping to get a digital camera for Christmas, so then I can upload photo's. I always like having a visual^^

Everybody have a safe and wonderful Holiday Season,
Krystal

Update on the bad news

I just found out, not even an hour ago, that my uncle passed away. He had spine, brain, and lung cancer. I'm about ready to cry. We're still going to celebrate Christmas tomorrow. I'm going to miss him very much. Oh, and my mom always gets mad when I call him my uncle. He's technically my cousin, but to me he's my uncle.

RIP Carl we won't forget you!!

Good News and Bad News

I don't know which to say first, I guess I'll do the good news. I got my van back this week. It looks great, I got two new windows, a new passenger door, and a paint job. I already paid my deductable, which is good because I don't have to worry about it anymore^^ I hated departing from my rental car, which was a 2008 Grand Prix, but I couldn't fit all the kids in it. When I finish doing daycare, I think I'm going to get car.

Sad news I just recently found out that one of my favorite uncle has cancer. He's doing okay. He has to have both Chemo and Radiation. He's always so much fun to be around, he likes to play jokes and be silly. It just saddens me that he might not be the same after all is said and done. Please send your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you,
Krystal
p.s. I hope to get a digital camera for Christmas, so then I'll be able to upload pics of what I'm talking about:)

I wrecked my car

The only damage was to a child's car seat, the front passenger window and door. Luckily I was going very slow when it happened. I'm still trying to get the Insurance company to pay for the car seat, but they have some stupid rule, that since the child wasn't in the seat when it happened then it should be fine. Yeah, but there could be damage that can't be seen with the naked eye. I went ahead and ordered another seat, there is no way that I'm endangering the life of an innocent child. The really cool part is that while my car is getting fixed I get to drive an 2008 Grand Prix.

Christmas shopping

Yesterday I went to Wichita, the biggest town in Kansas, to get my Aunt her Christmas presents. I couldn't find anything that she wanted anywhere! She said that she wanted Catherine Zeta Jones perfume and a special type of bic lighter, can't think of the name right now. I went to Target first, no luck. Then Kohl's, still no luck. Then I went to the mall I went to Dillards because they have a large cosmetics section. It was there that I learned that Catherine Zeta Jones was the spokesperson for Elizabeth Arden this year. Needless to say, there were at least 5 different types of perfume that had her on the label. Luckily my Uncle called, so I asked him. He didn't know, of course, but he did say that he would call her and call me back. He ended up not calling me back until I was already on the interstate coming home. So now I have to go try again next weekend. I never had problems shopping for somebody before, now I know why people get so stressed out around the holidays.
Here is a picture of the cologne that caused me so much trouble, LOL! It does look pretty, doesn't it?
